Healthy Eating for Successful Living 6-Week Workshop

Learn how nutrition and lifestyle changes can promote better health. The program focuses on heart and bone healthy nutrition strategies to help maintain or improve wellness and prevent chronic disease development or progression. Healthy Eating uses the USDA’s MyPlate as a framework. Sessions meet once a week for 2 hours over the course of 6 weeks.
Healthy Eating for Successful Living is a six week program for older adults who want to learn more about nutrition and how lifestyle changes can improve heart and bone health. Based on the USDA MyPlate, the main components of the program include: goal setting, problem solving, group support, nutrition education, and self assessment.
As a part of this workshop, you will be provided with a complimentary resource book at no cost. Kindly inform Jennifer Ugarte at member@villagecommonri.org whether you prefer to receive your resource book via email or through your postal address.
