The movie “Origin” follows author Isabel Wilkerson as she writes the book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents (2020). Meanwhile, she is grappling with tremendous personal tragedy. She sets herself on a path of global investigation and discovery, looking at the links among slavery in the US, the holocaust, and the caste system in India.
