How to Report Elder Abuse or Neglect Training
Did you know that 1 out 10 Rhode Islanders report elder abuse? Did you know that every Rhode Islander is a mandated reporter of suspected abuse?
All TVC Volunteers are requested to join the staff of Saint Elizabeth Haven for Elder Justice and Rhode Island Adult Protective Services for a brief training to learn what defines elder abuse. The training will focus on different types of abuse, the mandatory reporting law and how to report. This training will also cover the state mandated reporting laws and identify required steps to file a report.
