Aging in Place, Fall Prevention, and Home Accessibility
Oakley Home Access is a unique team of home safety experts enthusiastic about aging in place, fall prevention, and home accessibility. The company is owned and operated by a registered, licensed, CAPS-certified Rhode Island, Connecticut, & Massachusetts Contractor and a registered, licensed Occupational Therapist. They provide free home safety assessments with function and safety in mind.
Justin Oakley, Occupational Therapist and Co-owner of Oakley Home Access will provide a brief presentation offering some history & background on what inspired him and his partner Mike Vieira, to create OHA. He will cover general fall prevention strategies & proactive ideas for you to safely age in place. Justin will help identify barriers and dangerous obstacles within the home, offering some of the solutions and equipment that OHA can provide. Most solutions are minimally invasive and go a long way in giving you peace of mind within your home and facilitating aging in place. A slide show presentation will accompany this discussion and there will be opportunities for Q & A throughout.
