Volunteering
With a great first group of volunteers on board, the Jamestown Village is seeking more volunteers to fill a variety of these roles, including serving on committees.
Volunteering is a rewarding way for residents to make a direct and positive impact on the community, to “give back” to the community. With neighbors helping neighbors, meaningful connections are formed and strengthened around the island.
Volunteers are the key ingredient. Our volunteers decide when and how often they volunteer, and the types of services they wish to offer.
Working with The Village Common of RI, Jamestown Village will provide important structures to support our members and volunteers.
- Volunteers receive orientation, training, back-up and problem-solving support.
- Volunteers are vetted through a secure national online service
- Volunteers are insured and training is updated routinely
- Volunteers are encouraged, but not required, to join as members
- Volunteers are asked to respect member privacy and uphold the mission and values of our organization.
Jamestown Village offers a variety of volunteer opportunities. Volunteers are encouraged to consider their interests, passions, skills and time in choosing a volunteer role.
If you or a friend is interested in learning more about joining our Jamestown Village as a volunteer or member, please have them contact jamestown@villagecommonri.org or call Jamestown Village at (401) 661-7203.
