Volunteering
Volunteers are the heart of the Warwick Village. Volunteers support older Warwick members needing a little help to remain in their homes as they age. Volunteers gain a sense of satisfaction in contributing to neighbors and increase their sense of belonging in the community. We believe that volunteering is a rewarding way to make a direct and positive impact.
Vetted volunteers have the flexibility to choose which services they can provide, when and how often. Each volunteer fills out an application, attends an in-person or Zoom training, signs a privacy form, and submits a background check that is done through a secure online national service. Volunteer drivers submit insurance information and have their driving record checked. Volunteers must have access to the Internet and email.
There are always needs for drivers, technical assistance, and help with basic home tasks. Volunteers do not take the place of workers such as home health aides, weekly lawn services or regular cleaners. Volunteers are encouraged to consider their interests, passions, skills and availability when choosing a volunteer role. We value the knowledge of our volunteers and have several committees through the Board of Directors seeking volunteers.
