TVCRI FILM CLUB

Film Club members Bob Parillo and Judith Slane will lead a discussion on two legal dramas:
“Anatomy of a Murder” (Prime)
and “Beyond the Bar” (first two episodes, on Netflix).

Anatomy of a Murder is a 1959 American film produced and directed by Otto Preminger. It is based on the 1958 novel of the same name written by Michigan Supreme Court Justice John D. Voelker under the pen name of Robert Traver. Voelker based the novel on a 1952 murder case in which he was the defense attorney.
Beyond the Bar is a 2025 South Korean legal drama available on Netflix, following a rookie lawyer navigating a top firm under a demanding mentor.
