About this event
Intergenerational Media-Making
Workshop and Tour

In honor of Media Literacy Week, join Ocean State Media (previously known as Rhode Island PBS and The Public's Radio) for an Intergenerational Media-Making Workshop and Tour on Friday, October 31st!
We will begin the morning with a light fare, and then tour of the station. After, we will jump into a hands-on workshop where students from Alfred Lima Elementary school, students from Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts (TAPA) and Villagers from the Village Common of RI will team up together to record interviews, take meaningful photos, and craft short videos that celebrate our shared community stories.
We will wrap with sharing reflections and future steps. It will be a memorable morning!
Note: As we document our shared experience, photos and videos will be taken during the event. By joining, you give consent to be included in this media. If you have any questions, you can contact Sarah Trudeau at
strudeau@ripbs.org!
The Village Common relies on donations to offer our programs. This event is free to attend, but we thank you for any contributions you choose to give. Click on this button to donate. |
