PACE is an innovative approach that is increasingly popular in the US. Founded in 1971, On Lok (
https://www.onlok.org/about/history) in California is the “mothership” creator of the PACE concept of a closed network of resources that allows people over 55 to live longer in their homes rather than in a nursing home.
Financial support comes mostly from federal and state government. Most PACE participants are Medicaid and Medicare eligible; others are self-pay. There are over 500 PACE participants and they come from every community in RI.
