It's Diabetes Awareness month!
Diabetes is a chronic condition where the body either doesn't produce enough insulin or can't effectively use the insulin it produces, leading to high blood sugar levels. Leonard R. Bertheau, DO: Director of the Diabetes Fellowship with the Department of Family Medicine at The Alpert Medical School at Brown University/Care New England Medical Group. Dr. Leonard R. Bertheau is a board-certified family medicine physician and a board-certified diabetologist with a special focus on diabetes care and management. He will be providing a presentation on the highs and lows of diabetes. To learn more, join us on Zoom on November 19!
